About ”Clay is incredibly exciting to work with. It has a language of its own. I’ll pick up the clay and things start flowing. I’ll suddenly get a glimpse of what I’m trying to create and then hang on to it. I can’t stop until the vision I have emerges.”
Clare Dabinett’s love of figurative sculpture has been greatly influenced by experimenting with different ways of distilling the subject down to its essence. She gives particular attention towards the psychological effects of her subjects, defining each sculpture by its personal narrative.
The free-standing sculptures in which she specialises, evoke the power and eternal beauty of the human form. Giving attention to the rhythms of volume and space, they experiment with smooth, curved surfaces, to create fluid shapes with unbroken, sensual lines.
All sculptures are cast in bronze and are available in editions of 12. It is possible to purchase them by contacting us through this site. Please visit the Sculptures page to view her work currently for sale.
